Sunday Mass from St Jeanne Jugan now on our website from Saturday to Sunday each weekend
- please press the play button in the bottom left corner of the video to start.
Church re-openings: I am delighted to announce that both our Churches will be open this Sunday for Private Prayer. Only 12 people are allowed in the church at any one time. Please adhere to social distancing and use the one-way system as directed. Please limit your visit to no more than 15 minutes to allow others to have time in church and please be kind to the stewards.
Our Lady of Lourdes Church will be open from 9am to 10am, and St Urban's from 09.30am to 11.30am.
Both our Churches will be open for Mass from next Sunday (12/07/2020) onwards. Only 30 people are allowed into St Urban's Church and 40 into Our Lady of Lourdes Church at any one time. Please adhere to social distancing keeping 2 metres apart at all times. Please use the following buttons to book places at Sunday Masses:
5 telephone bookings will be taken for each Mass by ringing 07783 648 419 on Thursday or Friday. Please note the Sunday obligation is dispensed with at the present time so Mass during the week 7pm on both Tuesdays and Thursdays at St Urban's maybe a better option for you. Please be kind and allow others to attend Mass so one booking per week would help to allow as many as possible to attend. Thank you.
CAFOD’s Summer of Hope (From the Children’s Liturgy team) We hope that many of you have been enjoying the virtual children’s liturgy sessions organised by CAFOD every Sunday at 10am. These can be easily accessed at https://cafod.org.uk/, remember to register first! You and your family are also invited to get involved with a fantastic CAFOD fundraising event - CAFOD’s Summer of HOPE - to support the work being done to ensure clean water and food reaches some of the poorest families in the world during this global emergency. The idea is that you recreate at home an event that you will miss this summer, and have fun transforming them into a sign of hope through raising money for CAFOD’s Coronavirus Appeal. All the details and plenty of ideas are on the website but the best thing to do is to watch a short video first which tells you all about it. Make sure you watch it through till the end as there are some beautiful prayers to finish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fk8XTLhvL0s. The website will tell you how to set up your Just Giving page too. The team at the Leeds office would love to receive any pictures of events you organise so please send them to email@example.com. Why not send your pictures to Fr Gerard and they can be put into the weekly bulletin too? Many thanks for supporting CAFOD.

Mass is celebrated daily in St Urban’s church. This week I will offer Mass for the people of the parish, Jonathan Mulkeen and Holy Souls from the parish November Dead List.
Please consider filling in a parish census form [direct link to pdf file] so that we can keep in touch with you during this lockdown period. Completed forms may be returned to email@example.com
Thank you for your offerings – those posted through my letter box and those who have kindly taken up standing orders to keep the parish going. Feel free to hold onto your envelopes if this is more helpful for you and explore the ways of giving on our donate page on the parish website.
